I wonder if Jets would be interested in Sam Gagner and what price they would be willing to pay..

What the f-uck? You guys are acting like you have a good team infront of him. The only reason why you got close to a playoff spot was the solid play of Pavelec. I don't understand why you're knocking him.

You guys are going to miss the south east division. You guys are gonna get beat down by Chicago,St.Louis and Minnesota next year. Nashville,Dallas and Colorado aren't exactly pushovers either

Is your tender situation really that bad? You just compared apples to oranges in a salary too. Bernier, Scrivens and Riemer are all paid on early career deals. You want to talk goalies problems look around. I would be plenty happy with your situation.

I think the leafs are corning the market on Goalies. Supply is low demand is high. They have stock piped the asset people want and will take advantage of it now or at the trade deadline.

Teams with goalies concerns/ issues I've seen mentioned are Philly, Edmonton, CAL, Chi?, Pit? Van (moving out), FLA?, Col, NYI, Buff (moving out), NJ (soon), PHX (resign?)

The Jets need to start playing some team defence in front of Pavs. Until they do that it won't matter if they have Patrick Roy in his prime or a plywood cut out from a practice rink in net.

Players unhappy in Winnipeg....Who would have thought?

Pavelec is a decent goalie on a junk team, Kane will be gone soon, Wheeler too Bfygulen is just getting fatter. Not having the SE div will bury this team.

I like Pavelec and I think he'd play much better with a better defense in front of him. It's hard to judge him fairly at this point.

Really? Kane is signed for another 5 years and Wheeler is an RFA, no way Jets let him go. While their new division is harder this year, a few key moves will put them in contention. Failure to make any changes at all will certainly make it touch, but by no means impossible. The Jets showed last year against some tough teams (Boston, Pittsburgh) that they can play, the key is showing up every night by all players.

You've drafted Scheifele and Trouba so far. Both Solid picks. You have the 13 coming up which should be an impact player. Drafting will be everything for your team cause you're not getting any UFA's except more Olli Jokinens

Hasn't it been well documented that Kane wants out?

There's no reason to believe 'players unhappy in Winnipeg' is real.

However there's no denying the road gets tougher for the team in the West. But what part of the numbers supports the case to provide Pavelec the deal he has?

I want to believe that the team in front of a goalie has as much impact as you and others might suggest but I stray further from that belief the more I learn and observe.

90% of Pavelec's challenges are between the ears and everything else is in his head. IMO he gets this off-season and year to change that.

Really don't see Bogo going anywhere. Substitute Buff for Bogo and you could be on to something.
